I could never live anywhere that didn't have an ocean. The ocean is in my blood. Whether I'm spearfishing, surfing, swimming, or fishing, I have to be around the ocean. I took up spearfishing because I was sick of waiting for the fish to swim up and bite the hook, I decided it was much more fun to go in and get them myself. I started making films when one day I looked at my little Canon S80 and noticed it had a movie function. I immediately went on ebay and bought a housing for it. I started editing clips together for my friends and family. People started taking a big interest in my movies, although I didn't think any of the originals were all that good. I went and bought a bunch of spearfishing DVD's and decided that if those guys could make halfway decent productions, I could too.

Underwater film making for a spearo is tough work! I cant believe how many times I will leave the camera in the boat and see a massive school of yellowtail or white sea bass and wish I would have a camera handy to record what I am seeing. It is the passion for filming that has led me to create this site in hopes of one day releasing a DVD.

I set up spearfishingmovies.com as a way to showcase my productions and also to provide higher quality videos than what one would traditionally find on Youtube. I will be featuring my newest films on the homepage as soon as they are released. Keep checking the site for updates.
